CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF BELOIT, KANSAS, FROM SECTION 12-112 OF THE 1958 SUPPLEMENTS TO THE GENERAL STATUTES OF KANSAS, 1949, AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT AND PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS OF SAID CITY.

Section 1. The City of Beloit, Kansas, a mayor and council city of the second class by the power invested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to and exempts itself from and makes inapplicable to it section 12-112 of the 1959 Supplement to the general Statutes of Kansas, 1949, which applies only to cities of the second and third class and to provide substitute and additional provisions as hereafter provided.

Section 2. [AMENDED BY C.O. NO. 14 AND C.O. NO. 15]

The mayor and councilmen of the City of Beloit, Kansas, shall each receive the sum of $10 for each regular or special meeting of the governing body of the City of Beloit, Kansas, at which they shall be in attendance from and after the effective date of this charter ordinance.
