The city in accordance with K.S.A. 12-16,102, as amended, establishes an employee benefits contribution fund for the purpose of paying the city’s share of employee benefits The costs of employee benefits authorized for payment from the fund created in or by this section shall include the following: Employer contributions for social security, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, health care costs, employee benefit plans, and employee retirement and pension programs.
